Overview
Tamila Ivanov is National Co-Leader of BLG’s Commercial Real Estate Group and advises clients on the full range of commercial real estate transactions. Her practice encompasses acquisitions, dispositions, development projects, financing arrangements as well as leasing in the office, industrial, retail, mixed-use, institutional and multifamily sectors.
Tamila works with private developers, major landowners, pension funds, real estate investment trusts, municipalities, and public entities including regional governments, schools, universities, and hospitals. She regularly structures limited partnerships, joint ventures and co-ownerships, as well as asset and property management arrangements. Tamila also advises on real property matters as part of corporate M&A, reorganizations and insolvency matters.
In addition, Tamila's practice spans the affordable housing sector, where she assists private developers and municipal governments in the delivery of affordable housing.
Her clients benefit from her background as a structural engineer, which provides unique insights into development challenges and opportunities. Before attending law school, she practised as a structural engineer at a leading global consulting firm.
