Overview

Marc Jolicoeur (1953-2022) was a lawyer and former partner of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. He graduated from the University of Ottawa with degrees in business administration in 1975 and law in 1978, joined BLG's predecessor Scott & Aylen as an articling student in 1978, returned as a lawyer after completing the Bar Admission Course in 1980, and became a partner in 1984. He later served as national leader of the firm's Corporate Commercial Group. His professional work included corporate-commercial matters and infrastructure and project development. He was also a long-serving University of Ottawa leader, serving fifteen years on its Board of Governors, including seven as chair, and contributing to committees and fundraising campaigns. He and his spouse established a scholarship for undergraduate students.
