Overview

Kent Howie is Senior Counsel in Borden Ladner Gervais LLP's Corporate & Capital Markets group, based in Calgary and Ottawa. He previously spent more than 20 years as a BLG business law partner before serving as Senior Adviser to the Deputy Minister of Finance and as an Assistant Deputy Minister and head of a corporate finance branch at the Department of Finance Canada. His experience spans corporate and commercial law, corporate finance, government affairs and public policy, with work on mergers and acquisitions, infrastructure and energy transition projects, and corporate finance transactions.
