John Batzel is a Partner in Miller Thomson's Calgary office with decades of experience in labour and employment law. He advises on the employment relationship, including contract negotiation and wrongful dismissal claims, and helps clients avoid or resolve workplace problems efficiently. John also advises purchasers and sellers on employment and labour matters arising from mergers, acquisitions and restructurings. His extensive courtroom experience spans multiple jurisdictions. He contributes to the legal community through presentations and publications on workplace policies, drug and alcohol testing and employment law reforms. John has been recognized for his experience in employment and labour law and is a member of legal associations. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1995 and the Alberta Bar in 1997.
