Overview

Jennie Buchanan is a Partner in Lawson Lundell's Calgary office and practises commercial litigation and arbitration. She advises and represents clients in complex disputes across the oil and gas, energy, construction and commercial real estate industries. Jennie litigates complex commercial contract disputes and contentious shareholder matters. She also represents owners, contractors and subcontractors in construction disputes arising from major development and infrastructure projects, and advises landlords and tenants on commercial real estate disputes involving leasing, development and financing. In addition, Jennie represents governments and private-sector entities in Indigenous rights litigation involving consultation, accommodation and treaty obligations. She has represented clients at all levels of court in Alberta and appeared before arbitration tribunals and administrative and regulatory boards. Jennie was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014 and the Alberta Bar in 2015.
