Overview

Pitman B. Potter is Professor (Emeritus) at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. He retired from UBC in 2020 after serving in roles including Director of Chinese Legal Studies, Director of Asian Legal Studies, Director of the Graduate Program and Associate Dean. His research covers PRC and Taiwan law and policy, human rights, foreign trade and investment, business regulation and dispute settlement. He served as a Chinese business law consultant to Borden Ladner Gervais LLP from 1995 to 2017.
