Overview

Doug H. Mitchell was Counsel in BLG's Calgary office and passed away peacefully on July 20, 2022. He was instrumental in the foundation of BLG and helped lead the merger that formed the firm in 2000. He served as BLG's National Co-Chair and as Calgary's Regional Managing Partner until 2007. His legal practice included corporate and commercial law and commercial real estate, including leasing. He was a member of the Order of Canada and the Alberta Order of Excellence.
