Overview

David Younggren specializes in civil litigation . He joined DBB Law in 1988 after articling to Chief Justice Laycraft at the Alberta Court of Appeal. David became a partner in 1993 and has an established civil litigation practice, including corporate contractual litigation , shareholder disputes, wrongful dismissal , real estate litigation, construction liens and collection matters. He has appeared in all levels of Court, including a successful appearance on a criminal appeal (R. v. Egger) in the Supreme Court of Canada and appearances as Ad Hoc Discipline Counsel for the Law Society of Alberta. David is a past Chair of the Alberta Association of Police Governance and was a member of the Calgary Police Commission for over five years. He is also a past Chair of the Legal Aid Society of Alberta, a past Director of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary and has been an active member, speaker and organizer for the Canadian Bar Association.
