Christopher J. O'Connor, Q.C., C.Arb. and FCIArb., is an independent Canadian commercial arbitrator and mediator at O'Connor Alternative Dispute Resolution. Before establishing his independent practice, he was a partner of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and a National Department Leader of its litigation department. He specializes in construction arbitration and mediation, with emphasis on commercial disputes, construction disputes and insurance issues. He has practised extensively in commercial litigation, arbitration and mediation and is accredited as a Chartered Arbitrator and mediator. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an accredited mediator and arbitrator at the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre. He earned degrees from Carleton University and the University of Toronto and completed the Leadership in Law Firms Program at Harvard University.
