Overview

Christopher D. Bredt is a mediator and arbitrator on the ADR Chambers panels in Toronto. He brings domestic and international experience in corporate and commercial disputes involving shareholder and partnership issues, professional liability, construction, real estate, class actions, contracts, securities and intellectual property, as well as public law matters involving environmental and energy, securities, constitutional and First Nations issues. He has extensive adjudication and mediation experience, served on the Law Society Tribunal and its Appeal Panel, sits on the Ontario Judicial Council, and chairs discipline panels for IIROC, now CIRO. Before retiring to full-time neutral work, he was a senior litigation partner and counsel at BLG. He earned degrees at Western and Yale, completed postgraduate work at Columbia and Universite de Paris II, and received the Law Society Medal in 2022.
