Overview

The Honourable Justice Chidinma B. Thompson is a Justice of the Court of King's Bench of Alberta in Calgary. The Alberta Courts' current justices directory lists her in that role. Before her appointment, she was a partner in Borden Ladner Gervais LLP from 2017 and maintained a diverse commercial litigation, arbitration and regulatory practice across sectors. She was a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Vancouver International Arbitration Centre roster, a part-time member and later chair of the Alberta Environmental Appeals Board, a law instructor and an arbitrator and adjudicator. She studied law in Nigeria, earned an LL.M. and pursued doctoral studies at the University of Calgary, and received the Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta).
