Overview

Carina A. De Pellegrin is Counsel in BLG’s Ottawa office and a senior technology and litigation lawyer. She advises clients on legal issues related to technology, intellectual property and privacy. Her background in computer engineering supports her work for technology and pharmaceutical clients. She has extensive experience litigating complex patent cases for global pharmaceutical companies, including matters before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal, and assists clients with trademark portfolio management and defence. She advises technology, telecommunications and defence-sector clients on intellectual property, licensing, patents, copyright, privacy and administrative law. She has appeared before the Trademarks Opposition Board, Federal Court, Canadian International Trade Tribunal and Federal Court of Appeal. Before her legal career, she worked as an aeronautical engineer and project manager, including on defence-sector procurement contracts. She is fluent in English and French.
